France's Most stereotypical Shirt - striped shirt. As you can well imagine, french people don’t actually walk around like this all the time.if i think about Paris, i I think about stripes and beret. Maybe I haven’t told you yet, but I’m addicted to stripes. And yes, i paired my striped shirt with beret, because i like it and maybe i look funny in it. Don't care.
Did you know the striped breton shirt, as we know it today, came into being shortly following the 1858 Act of France which introduced the navy and white striped knitted shirt as the uniform for all French navy seaman in Brittany. The original design featured 21 stripes, one for each of Napolean's victories. On a trip to the coast, Coco Chanel became inspired by the sailor’s clothing and used it in her 1917 nautical line. The Breton top became a symbol of haute-bourgeois loveliness during the pre-war Riviera years...
Today, many french people (maybe more foreigners ha ha) still wear this kind of sailor's shirt, which has become a must for any casual, preppy wardrobe.
But if you would think about Paris and style what you imagine?
P.S I found another great cafe in Paris with absolutelly stunning interiors with a bathm where you can drink your coffee and very nice location. Absolutely fell in love with the décor in this place, it feels like home...
